PEAR OILINA

difference between olive oil and extra virgin olive oil

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PERSONS

 

  • ​8 OILINA olive oil (it must cover a medium sized pan)

  • 2 tsp of good honey

  • 2 tbsp pistachios or walnuts

  • 1 tsmedium sweet pears (Abate Fetel pears are best)

  • 50 ml p cinnamon

 

 

PREPARATION

 

Please use a coated pan for the preparation.

 

  1. Peel pears and cut into eighths. Heat OILINA in the pan. Add pears and sauté over medium-high heat. The pan should be sizzling. 

  2. Turn pears once they are golden brown. Spread the honey in the pan over the pears. Cover and simmer over medium heat until both sides are golden brown and honey is caramelized.

  3. Toast nuts in a small skillet over medium heat. Keep stirring until fragrant. Then grind or chop into small pieces. 

  4. Sprinkle cinnamon over pears and spread nuts in pan. Simmer with lid off for 2 minutes and turn off heat. Done!
